Privacy
Privacy policy for Infinity Arcade, the mobile game for Android and iOS. Last updated 26 October 2026.
Short version: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your scores and settings stay on your device. Online games and party games use a random player name. Our game server forgets each match when it ends, and party games never leave your wifi.
Who we are
Infinity Arcade is made by a two-person indie team, the developer named on the game's Google Play and App Store pages. This policy covers the Infinity Arcade app and the server it connects to (infinityarcade.freshdex.app). For any privacy question or request, email rael@freshowl.app.
On your device
The game keeps these on your device only, and never sends them to us:
- your player name (picked at random from a list of words, like SWIFT FOX 42; you can roll a new one)
- your high scores in each game (the top ten, with the player name and date of each)
- your sound and vibration settings
Uninstalling the game deletes them.
Online games
When you choose PLAY ONLINE (or RACE ONLINE), the game connects to our game server over an encrypted connection and sends your player name and what you do in that match: for example your position, your moves, your reaction times and your score. The other players in your match see your player name and how you're doing. The server keeps this in memory only while the match is on and does not store it afterwards.
Like any website, the server writes a standard log entry for each connection: your IP address, the time, the address requested and your device's app or browser description. We use these logs only to keep the service running and to stop abuse. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Party games on your wifi
Some games (Colour Clash) can be played as a party: one device is the table, and other players join from their own phones on the same wifi network. In a party game:
- the devices talk to each other directly over your local network; nothing goes over the internet or to us
- the table announces itself on the local network (the game, a four-letter join code and the number of players) so nearby phones can find it
- each phone sends the table its player name and its moves, and the table sends each phone only that player's own cards
- nothing is kept once the game ends
On iPhone and iPad, the system asks your permission before the game can use the local network. You can say no and still play everything else.
Who else handles data
- Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) runs the server that holds the logs described above, on our behalf.
- Google Play and the App Store handle downloads and may give developers anonymous statistics, such as install counts and crash reports, under their own privacy policies and your device settings.
We never sell data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to profile anyone.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, sign-in, real names, email addresses or phone numbers.
- No advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and no advertising ID.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
- No chat: players can't type messages to each other.
Children
The game doesn't ask anyone for personal details, has no chat, and player names come from a fixed list of words, so players can't reveal who they are. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices and deleting data
- Data on your device: uninstall the game, or roll a new player name at any time.
- Online and party play are optional. Playing against the computer works without any connection.
- Server logs: they delete themselves after 14 days. Because there are no accounts we can't link them to you, but if you send us your IP address and the date, we'll delete matching entries sooner.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change means the game collects anything new, we'll say so in the game's update notes as well.
